Ainsley's 11th birthday

Ainsley turned 11 today.  And she looks so grown up to me now!  Her birthday started with piano recitals and ended with a fun night out with 3 of her friends at Red Robin.

Julia, Emma, Ainsley & Lily

Piano recitals

Our girls have been taking piano lessons for years but we just switched teachers to one that does recitals. So this was their first time participating in a recital. They both did really well!

Yet another birthday...

He just keeps having them. And now he's had 75 of them. Birthdays, that is. My dad celebrated his 75th birthday on March 27th.

Waterpark of America

Bart took the week off of work for Spring Break this year.  We wanted to feel like we were on vacation but with out going too far so we drove up the road a piece to the far away land of Bloomington, MN (a whole 20 minutes away) and stayed at the exotic Raddison Hotel which has the Waterpark of America inside of it.  We'd never been there before and the girls had a blast.  We all agreed the best part was the 10 stories tall Eagle's Nest which is America's longest indoor family raft waterslide.

Summer's birthday

Summy turned 6 this year. How can my baby be six? She had a Tinker Bell Fairies party and invited 6 friends.  And unfortunately, I forgot to get a group picture.  So, here is Summer with her yummy cake.

Mackenzie's 9th birthday

Mackenzie turned NINE this year on Sunday Febuary 26th.  We celebrated over the weekend by going out to Red Robin with 2 of her friends, Grace & Elle.

On Sunday, her actual birthday we had ice-cream cake and celebrated with the Amotts.

On our Lake

I'm trying to do some catch up posts here because I haven't had time to blog since 2011! Crazy, but true.

These pictures are from January 10th 2012. We had an incredible unseasonably warm winter this year. we LOVED it! I remember this day so well because the tempatures soard to 50-some degrees that day which is virtually unheard of in the middle of January. As soon as the girls got off the bus from school we took a walk on our lake. Yup, you heard me....ON our lake. We stayed close to the shore but it was fun for us to be on the ice and not be bitter cold.

Cool leaf frozen in the ice and a cool bubble in the ice.

Typical day on our lake.  Even when it's bitter cold out there are always ice-fishermen out there.  This winter brought even more because of the mild temps.
Can you tell what's in the ice???  Look closely...someone drilled I "heart"U! into the ice.
