Full of Memories

Here is a conversation Bart had with Kenzie the day we moved all our stuff out of the house.

Bart: The house is all empty now.

Kenz: But, it's full of memories and if you close your eyes you can see them all.

Pretty deep for a 6 year old.

Happy Birthday Ainsley!

Wow! Ainsley turned 8 years old on April 14th. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. We had cupcakes on her birthday then the next evening we went with 2 of her best friends to Red Robin. Here's Ainsley as a baby and then some pictures from her birthday celebrations.

The farm at the zoo

I'm not sure how many zoos across America have a farm at them but our good ol' MN Zoo does. Every Spring they showcase all the baby farm animals. The whole family went today to check them out. Here are a few fun pictures from the day. I always knew Ainsley was a good egg.

"BAAAUUCCKKK!!"
Wilbur?

Kind of blurry, but these cute little goats were only 3 days old.
Ainsley said this chicken looked like he was wearing pants.

We always love seeing the draft horses. There are 3 of them and luckily enough one of them came right up to us.
Ainsley is really into horses right now.
If you look closely you can see this horse was trying to eat Summer's shoe! The horse then licked her pants and Summer said it was giving her kisses.

And there they are...our 3 little expert farmers!

Two Birthday's!

Summer and my dad, Stew, share a special bond. They share the same birthday
**March 27th**

I love that they have that special connection. This year we celebrated Summer's 3rd birthday and my dad's 72nd birthday by going to Underwater Adventure at the Mall of America.

They just opened up a new Seahorse exhibit that we all wanted to see. I tell you, seahorses are very interesting creatures! As interesting as they are for some reason I forgot to take any pictures of them. So here are some pictures from the day minus the seahorses.

Summer's new chalk board/dry erase easel.

Touching a starfish.

Grandpa touching the starfish too.

Earlier in the week Summer told me she wanted to eat cupcakes with her friends. So on Wednesday at playgroup we ate cupcakes and celebrated her birthday with her friends. Very low-key--which is much needed right now! Here are a couple cute pictures from that day.

Daddy's office

Summer had her 1st real Dentist appointment last Wednesday.
She was PERFECT!
She went straight in with Haleigh, sat down in the big chair, got her bib on and opened wide. Before I knew it she was already done with the x-rays and not a single fuss out of her.
(Soooo different from our last child's 1st trip to the dentist!)

It was so cute when she walked into the office she said loudly, "Daddy, you's my dentist!"

I snapped a few pictures of her in the chair 'cuz she looked just so darn cute and was smiling from ear to ear she was so excited to be there!

The rest of us got our teeth cleaned as well and I'm happy to report NO CAVITIES!
Yay!
Having a dentist in the family definately has its benefits.

I just might be crazy...

I signed up for my 1st 5K. It's only 3.2 miles, but I haven't been running in a LONG time and I've NEVER run a race before. So I am anxious, a little nervous but optimistically positive about it! Wish me luck!

P.S. Bart is running his 2nd 1/2 marathon the next day. And I am happy with my little 5K!

Countertops

They installed our kitchen countertops today. They are Cambria and I picked a solid brown color called Hazelford. I like it.

Cool Icicle

Look at our cool icicle we had out our back door. We've had it there for a couple of days. I snapped a picture of it today and a couple hours later I looked outside and it was gone. 40 degree weather will do that to icicles I guess.
