That's what you call a vacation when you stay in town and do fun things. The kids have been off school all week for MEA and Bart had the week off too.
On Monday we did MOA (Mall of America for those of you who didn't know that) and rode rides. I didn't take any pictures that day since we go there a lot. On Tuesday we went to the Children's Museum. I lucked out and got a pass from the library. Here are some pictures from that day.

Summer is dressed up in traditional Hmong clothing. Mackenzie might have a future career as a mail carrier.

Ainsley might have a future career as a turtle.
And all three girls are showing off mom and dad's poor artistic face painting talent. We definately don't have a future career in face painting!
Wednesday and Thursday were stay at home, clean, run errands and get-stuff-done-days. This gave Bart some time to start tearing down walls and ceilings in our basement. He is fixing up some problems that we have down in our lower level. I'll post some pictures of his handywork once he's done. (He just might have a future career in handyman work if he gets tired of the dentistry thing.)
Now we're on to today. Today was a fun day. I LOVE Fall and I wanted to get out and see the beauty of Minnesota (& Wisconsin) and its changing colors. We drove just across the WI border to Osceola where they have an old train depot. They do lots of different train rides there, we went on one a few years back with my dad.
Today we went on a Halloween Pumpkin train ride. You get on an old train for about a 30 min. ride up to Dresser, WI. Here you get off and the kids can play little carnival games, jump in a jumpy house, go through a hay bale maze, eat lunch, roast marshmallows and pick out their own pumpkin to take home with them. We missed out on the tractor rides 'cuz the tractor got a flat tire-bummer. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. And we got some really nice pumpkins. Here are some pictures from today.
